FAQs
How would you describe your style?
Family photo sessions should be fun and stress free. I have a very candid and fast photography style. But I do also like to get a perfect posed family photo. Many of my clients say that this is the most important photo to get because it takes a professional photographer to get everyone in place, looking good and looking at the camera. You will get that shot and many more candid, laughing, playful photos to remember your family at this moment in time.
What is included in my session?
Your session includes my time and talent, plus edited digital images and a 4x6 print of every image.
When do I book my session?
For newborn sessions, I recommend contacting me in your second trimester to reserve your session. But no need to worry if your newborn has already arrived! I'll do my best to squeeze you in!
Family sessions can be booked anytime! Keep in mind that weekends book up fast, so if you’d like a weekend date, consider booking about 3-4 weeks in advance.
What happens after my shoot?
I usually upload a couple sneak peek photos for you to view and share with friends and family a few days after the shoot. 2-3 weeks later, you will receive an online gallery with the allotted images from your photo shoot and from there you can choose which images to show off on your empty walls at home!
What if it rains or what do I do if someone in my family gets sick the day of our session?

Call me! I'm a mom too! I totally get it. Both these situations would not make for the best photos. So that’s not good for either of us. I often book a back-up date when the initial date is set. Your eyes tell a story and we want them to be bright and vibrant! We'll reschedule the session as soon as everyone is healthy!
How will I receive my What should we do with our digital files??
Having the digital files gives you the most freedom. You can use the photos for Christmas cards, calendars, prints, canvas, frames. Or simply make a beautiful slideshow or photo book. The key is not to leave the images on your computer where you will never have the chance to view them.
What should we bring to the photo shoot?
Make sure everyone has been fed before the photoshoot. It’s always a good idea to bring water.
Where do I book my session?
Your session will take place at a location of your choice. The best way to figure out where you want your pictures is to ask yourself what type of person or family you are! Are you homebodies or spend a lot of time outdoors? Do you like city life? Gardens? At home? I can photograph you in a place that is very meaningful to you!
What should I wear?
Most importantly, wear something that you feel comfortable in! When you are comfortable, you're happy! And when you're happy and comfortable, your images will be even better! If you're in a family session, I dont recommend being too matchy-matchy and to try to stay away from the typical 'everyone wear white shirts and blue jeans' or having everyone wear the same shirt. Those don't allow you to express who you are as a fun-loving individual! Also, feel free to spice it up with accessories, cool shoes, or a unique headband. Ultimately, it is entirely up to you what you wear.
How will I receive my images?

I’ll email you a digital download about two weeks after your session.
What if my child is not behaving?
My sessions are designed to be fun, fast moving and very candid. I always try to get the posed pictures done first and then dedicate the rest of the session for candid photos. You will get beautiful shots from your photo session. So don’t worry about your kids, I will take care of everything.
